Export restrictions for alcoholic drinks in Hong Kong

  • Alcoholic drinks with alc./vol less than 30% and under 20°C can be exported out of Hong Kong
  • Please be aware of the packaging of the parcel.  If there’s any damages, it will be compensated by the value of the parcel.  The maximum amount of compensation will be USD 100.

Shipping alcoholic drinks and wine to UK 🇬🇧

  • Drinks with over alc./vol 35% require extra tax duties
  • Only wine can be shipped
  • Recipient is required to pay for duties & tax

Shipping alcoholic drinks and wine to US 🇺🇸

  • There are only 27 states that accept parcels with alcoholic beverages. Restrictions vary in different states
  • Beers and spirits cannot be shipped to US
  • Shipping liquor to US using FedEx, FedEx requires the recipient to have a liquor licence

Shipping alcoholic drinks and wine to Australia 🇦🇺

  • UPS can only ship to the following states:
    • New South Wales
    • Victoria
    • Australian Capital Territories
    • South Australia
    • Western Australia
    • Tasmania
  • Queensland and Northern Territories cannot import alcoholic drinks or wine due to regulations in the local communities
  • When filling in customs declarations, please provide the ingredient list, quantity and the place of origin

Shipping alcoholic drinks and wine to Japan 🇯🇵

  • Please fill in “Personal Use” when doing customs declarations.  The items should not be used for reselling
  • Total weight must be less than 10kg
  • If the item value is less than JPY10,000, duties and tax are not required.  Duties and tax will be imposed if the value exceeds JPY10,000

UPS does not accept items with liquor or alcoholic beverages.  SkyNet and Aramex do not accept parcels with liquid.  Spaceship suggest using FedEx for your courier option!

  • Liquor and alcoholic beverages for personal use cannot exceed 5kg

Shipping alcoholic drinks and wine to Malaysia 🇲🇾

  • Cannot ship alcoholic drinks for personal use by UPS

Shipping alcoholic drinks and wine to Singapore 🇸🇬

  • Please fill in “personal use” when doing customs declarations and cannot be for reselling purpose.
  • Must not exceed 5kg
  • Official receipt is required for customs declaration and HS Code of the items needs to be included on the receipt

When shipping alcoholic beverages to overseas, local customs has the right to impose duties and tax. The exact amount of payable tax will be determined by local customs after inspecting the parcel. Local customs will inform the recipient regarding duties tax and payment. Customs clearance will proceed after the payment is settled.

Enter Parcel Details

  • Please separate the entries if the item categories are different.  If there are multiple items in one entry, it might slow down the customs declaration process
  • Select 【 Food and Beverage, Supplement 】 and 【 Drinks (with alcoholic) 】
  • For Item Declaration Details, please enter “Alcoholic drinks”
  • For supplementary info, please enter “Beer (alc. 4%)”

Enter Pick-up Information

  • Enter the information for pick-up service in Hong Kong and the recipient’s details in Japan

Online Payment

  • After confirming the reservation details and estimated shipping fee, enter your contact information and credit card details.  Then, press confirm to submit
  • If you would like to use a coupon, please enter the discount code and select your coupon
  • Once the shipment is confirmed, Spaceship will charge your credit card with the estimated shipping fee
  • Once your shipment is completed, courier company with issue official shipment details in 2-3 weeks, listing the actual size and weight of your parcel.  Spaceship will then collect or refund the difference
  • The more accurate the information you entered when estimating the shipment fee, the difference will be minimized
